Dedicated to Track & Field since 1983, Al Blakney, over the course of his coaching career has helped many of his athletes graduate to both collegiate and pro levels. Many whom hold school records, conference championships and NCAA titles through out their careers. Al continues to help develop and grow many top level athletes from start to finish.

Joann Blakney

Assistant Head Sprint & Jump Coach

No stranger to Track & Field Joann Blakney, a University at North Carolina at Charlotte Alumni, continues to carry the family legacy. Joann has a long history of record setting and dominating on the track. As a collegiate athlete she holds many conference championship titles and school records at both North Carolina Central University and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. A first year coach she has already made her mark of success gifting many athletes with her skill and expertise needed to go to the next level.
